A small bit of economic stress is all it takes for people to begin grasping for simplistic answers being proffered by political extremists.
That's why we get loons like UKIP and Socialist Worker types. Sadly the political middle gets hollowed out and these freaks begin influencing the narrative.
Happened in the UK and it's happening in the US.
