Being the asocial shut-in type, I only ever spoke to him once briefly, and I genuinely cannot remember the content of that discussion. All I remember is not particularly enjoying it. Most of my group of friends had similar experiences, even though most of them have broadly similar political leanings to him.
That having been said, I did enjoy it a few years ago when he wound up a bunch of Fox News pundits, causing one crazy american bitch to suggest he "go back to school to study history" (he has a Masters in History from Oxford, where he specialised in U.S. history). I don't much like the guy, or his politics, but I'd have liked to see him directly take on the entire staff at Fox News, simply because he has more I.Q. points in his ringpiece than they have put together.
