This is a normal post IIRC there was a scene where Randi expressed anger at the fact he was being filmed, and claimed on previous occasions he wasn't aware he was being filmed.
My memory of the doc is a bit hazy though. Was he not upset that the doc served to out him as gay? IDK.

Anyway, did you ever see Weiner? There's a documentary maker who couldn't believe his luck. I saw it at the cinema, so his fall from grace was far from complete. Still a really compelling watch.

...and James Randi is someone I hold in very high regard.

As I recall, his reticence was due to him feeling that it intruded too much on his personal life and shifted the focus from his life's work, but he eventually gave the film his blessing.
