This is a normal post It is, like so much media content these days, entirely and exclusively based a social media post. They don't mention it because they have no idea. Which one is the father? Have they been spliced?
Political correctness prevents the first question being asked. The status quo in medical science makes the answer to the second almost certainly impossible. Did the surrogate even supply the egg?

This is a normal post I don't. And I sincerely don't care about them as individuals.
However they did post a picture of themselves with an in utero scan on social media. The BBC reproduced this picture as news. As men, I have deduced, neither has a womb. This makes the story unusual, and therefore noteworthy. It seems to me you think it isn't unusual. I think that's where we differ.

This is a normal post Not true. I care only in that it is highly unusual, yet people disingenuously engage in the Doublethink that it isn't. And almost certainly prohibitively expensive without an egg donor and free surrogacy.
I just Googled the other one. He wrote the screenplay for Milk. So at least one of them has done something worthwhile.

I believe that approximately less than 1% of all children are in some way are the offspring of a gay couple. Being in that approximately 1% group qualifies one as being highly unusual. You disagree. The end.

Friends of the family are in a gay marriage, neither has a penis but yet they have an 8 year old son together. I've never felt the urge to ask them where the spuff came from, or even who's egg it was. None of my business as far as I am concerned. They're amazing parents and the lad is exceptionally bright, polite and well balanced.

This is a normal post I agree there, the reporting is atrocious, "They have not revealed any more details about the pregnancy, including whether or not a surrogate is involved."
I would have wanted to see the BBC list all the other options they had whilst holding up the ultrasound.

Less than 1% of parents do this, ergo it is not normal. I think we can take as read there was some kind of medical intervention, IVF or equivalent, ergo not natural. Neither is a criticism or judgment, just an observation. Stop pretending something unusual is normal.
