Some versions of BASIC included a renumber command, others could only do that using a separate utility programme.

The Vic20's Commodore Basic had a renumber command, but it wouldn't change your Gotos or Gosubs :(

So pretty pointless...

when you’ve inevitably forgotten something or fucked up.

You can add 5s or even 1s.
