Something along the lines of "God gave us free will, and he chooses not to interfere" would of done.
Although, I'm an athiest, so i don't know why I'm arguing for christians.

just his last couple of sentences, without the initial rant, would have done.
He seemed to be making the point that he thinks his God is like a SimCity player who decides to force a few 'natural disasters' and refrain from using the cheat codes in order to make the game more interesting.

Which is not necessarily a bad proposition, although I always thought these people wanted us to believe in a God who was something more than a bored teenager.
