I've done this!
Well, had it done to me. I used to work on a singing magazine, and went to an open day at some Harley Street place that specialises in vocal/laryngeal issues, and they did a demo on me. Very strange experience - they spray numbing mist on your throat/nose, but one can still feel the camera going in and wiggling around.
