As a fellow Brightonite (or Hove, actually)
this makes me so very happy. Not that I'm one to wave flags (do we have a flag?) but just because now I'll grin every time I cycle past West Pier.
Though actually I'm not sure knowing you live in the same place as me is a good thing. I was in Millets around January (getting boots for the snow, I'm not a madkeen Bear Grylls type) and thought I saw someone like you trying on boots next to me. So I did the awkward sideways glancing thing until he noticed and looked at me quizzically. Shit, I have to say something. Maybe he is actually you? Maybe I'l get a chance to say thanks for the amusement? Make your day a bit more smug? Anyway, I ended up blurting out the following...
"Scuse me, and I know this is going to sound weird however I phrase it, but you aren't that Sheep guy from the internet, are you?"
*long pause*
"No" says he.
"Oh" says I.
"Never mind."
*runs out of shop*
Lesson learnt: only approach your internet heroes while on the internet. Much safer.
