Put Alan Turing on the next 10 pound note
There's a petition to have a picture of Alan Turing on the next £10 note. I think it would be great if this happened. Please sign if you think so too.

Whilst this is honorable and all I think we're missing a chance here.
We can charge billionaires to put their mug on notes.
Sure Branson would love it and think of all the fun you can have defacing them.
In the even that my idea is not taken up I have signed up.

Although I would assume that the design for series F was chosen and finalised months, if not a year or so, ago.

maybe, maybe not
Wikipedia says the first series F notes came out 5 years ago, so there's no telling when they're planning to bring out the new tenner.

Yeah, but that's the whole point
You would assume they would all be designed together, or have the people featured decided together/with each other in mind.
Even after they've decided who it will be it's not as simple as just lifting a jpg of them off google - a version would be commissioned/created in a bank note stylee (lots of lines and minute details).
I would love to see Turing on our banknotes as I feel he should be one of our countries greatest heroes... on a par with Newton, but alas (as above).

There is room for both of them.
And maybe also Christopher Hitchins & Frank Sidebottom. They could all be sat around a table playing poker.

He's a decent choice
though it's inevitable that, when Darwin is eventually replaced, there'll be fundies claiming it as a great victory.

without his pioneering work, you would never be sitting here looking at crudely-drawn cocks on the internet
still, for all his genius, Darwin is head and shoulders above him in terms of importance. Find another person to take swap with

He contributed
Whether his contributions were more effective than say R. J. Mitchell, Field Marshal Montgomery, or some random Joe on the front line is for others to say. Did he single-handedly win WW2? Categorically not.

I like Darwin on the tenner. Maybe Turing could go on a different note, but we need to keep Darwin.
