Some of blurs stuff is quite listen-able whilst Oasis just make me feel ill.
I prefer Gorrilaz to Blur though but then i've always like Jamie Hewletts work.

The media decided Blur won on the basis of the sales of one single,
despite Oasis having sold more records over the course of their career. Although Oasis were shit so it's not really an injustice.

I think the record industry insisted on releasing their records at the same time just to make it seem more exciting. Oasis might have been spoiling for a fight though, the dirty mancs, but Damon Albarn probably had to stay in and do his maths homework.
