stuff will happen!
I stumbled in to the "inner circle" of this thing back in the early 1990s and it has been very interesting to experience the whole process along the way. I really appreciate the artists that build some incredible sculptures that can be transported to this barren desert (some are not burned) and the interaction of all participant/attendees is what makes the whole thing work for me.
As a total work of artistic expression - yes, it was very good. As an example of bureaucracy that has been forced to be created to exist, it is hard to say it was great. It has evolved into a huge THING that has no logical reason, but it is still worth the time and effort.
