Oh i didnt realize there was blocking issues in Germany, here in the US i would say about 1 in 10 links posted here are blocked. it is all silliness if you ask me.

Basically anything on YouTube that *might* have some kind of musical soundtrack is automatically blocked by GEMA www.gema.de/ this has become so common that my heart sinks when I see a YouTube URL. Even if I can see a tempting preview I click the link and get slammed with an "Unfortunately this video contains material ..."

Some of the sites I visit automagically change YouTube URLs to alternative sites where GEMA doesn't hold sway. Some people object to links to these sites - seeing them as scalpers - but for us in Germany it's the difference between seeing a nice video and hitting a brick wall.
