ha ha, this is something I have always thought re suicide bombers...
After the boom and you suddenly find yourself bathed in ethereal light, wouldn't you be worried about being suddenly surround by the shades of the 20+ likewise recently dead people who had seconds before been busy shopping, who are now all Dude..WTF man? and now considering spendng the rest of eternity beating you for being such a selfish prick.
