or does this look like a TV series? I'm not saying it looks shit, well yes I am, but doesn't it?

Yep. Definately got a Hallmark Christmas TV movie feel about it.
I expect David Jason to turn up as a Hobbit at one point. The 48fps TV look won't help either.
