Get the Horn is a really odd film.
They hated each other at this stage.

The whole thing is so bleak. Like an accidental Pinter play.

Absolutely
However, there are moments when you see flashes of their unbreakable, and unique, friendship. I think Dud was really trying for Pete's sake (see what i did there), but the sequence with the crisp dandruff pushed him over the edge apparantly and he walked out and they didn't speak for several years thereafter.
