This is a normal post I subscribe to JSTOR
Surely what he allegedly did was theft ? The argument that "it was like checking too many books out of the library" is rubbish, if services like
JSTOR don't get paid, then neither do the writers who produce academic
articles, then funding for that part of education and research dries up.

This is a normal post this is all news to me
but I agree to some extent, without a proper system of peer review and publication (which things like the JSTOR service help pay to provide) every nut job conspiracy theorist will post up a 'paper' which 'proves' whatever fad it is they're harping on about.

That being said I understand the prices being charged and the monopolies being built up in the publishing of scientific articles is a bit of a problem currently.

This is a normal post Theyre going to have to make publicly funded research open access soon anyway

This is a normal post I believe that jstor don't pay the people who write the articles
they just collate them into digital formats for download for their own profit.
