It mops up the metabolites of alcohol (so reduces hangover symptoms) but I don't think it speeds up the metabolism itself.
So you will get just as drunk, for the same time, but with less headache in the morning.

it don't think it will speed up the metabolic rate, but given that you'll have plenty supply of it, you'll be able to break down the booze at a normal rate for much longer than someone who'd not taken it, so you'll probably sober up faster.
