This is a normal post classic
it wouldnt look at all out of place in mitchell and webb look.
tho i think they'd take it a bit further.

This is a normal post I suspect
That you are spot on there; the Mitchell and Webb writers, along with Armstrong and Miller's co-writers do quite a lot of writing for kids' tv. This reminded me a lot of 'Sorry, I've Got No Head', which was funnier than, oh, I don't know, 'My Family', (just off the top of my head).

This is a normal post Really funny
but most accused witches in England were acquited, and there are only 3 cases of them being burnt alive.
And yes, kids TV is made to a far higher calibre, to a more discerning audience

This is a normal post Actually
Burning was not the punishment for witches in England - they were hung. Burning was used for treachery and other crimes however.

In Europe however they burnt thousands.

This is a normal post Also...
...in Scotland, where they loved a bit of witch-burning.

(insert feeble 'Burns night' reference)
