and just wtf....

There are people that let the game take up too much of their lives. I only survived it cos I forced myself (yes forced) to go out and see my friends as much as possible not matter how much I wanted to play.

I feel sorry for those with little or no will power that can't manage to control themselves enough to game responsibly.

As someone said below, he probably doesn't realise that cancelling your account doesn't delete your characters.

The only thing you could lose from the cancellation of your account is any post you haven't collected from your character's mailbox. That gets deleted after 30 days if you don't pick it up. So if he'd just received lots of gold/items but hadn't picked it up yet, he'd lose it. But it's only pretend money; it's not worth fussing over like that. Plus, when you cancel your account you still get to play until the end of the billing cycle, so he could still pick it up.
