Clare Hollingworth and Tam Dayell
Clare was ancient even when I knew her in 90s Hong Kong. Habitue of the Foreign Correspondents Club. A legend.

I know of Tam Dalyell but Clare Hollingworth I hadn't
Now I have looked her up I have to agree. Of such massive historical significance but not much of a ripple in the media when she went.

I heard about her death
on 5 Live, breakfast time while driving to work. They even payed a archived interview with her. So she wasn't completely ignored.

And look how much life has improved.
The point about a newspaper is that it is *edited* your facebook shares and favorite aggregated news source are the echo chamber.
you'll never see unexpected stories, you'll never see the clever juxtaposition of stories.
tl;dr newspapers are awesome.
