they cook it up themselves and as they're usually 'clucking' by that point they're very sweaty.
Labs are set up in mobile private areas, like a car and done in the lap. So Mrs Clucky get all excite about the amount of sudafed they've managed to 'cook up' then .........plop, a bead of sweat hits the mix which, in turn, causes a chemical reaction similar to a phosphorous bomb. Sauteed meth head. Yes, its not a 'direct' occurrence of meth. but a good way there ;)

Just saying, as you did, it's not a direct result of actually consuming meth, more a 'risk of the job' type thing.
