I was surprised how small the moon looks from the ISS cameras.From earth it seems larger.

dug up this pic, ISS passing in front of the moon
no doubt looked bigger from that vantage point =)
Or it's just that a damn fine telescope lens can lie about distances like that. They just cost way too much and there's always so much atmoshere blurring stuff at that distance for us earthlings =(

I thought it was worth the effort, I've seen plenty of partial eclipses before, but not a total lunar.

I was going to watch it, but was exhausted after a kayaking weekend in London
got home at 9pm (flying), but went to sleep on the sofa and woke up feeling really groggy just as it started. Won't be another one until 2019 , bah
