NYC human resources manager sues her own 12yo nephew for exuberant hug that left her with a broken wrist
His mum has just died but she isn't letting that get in the way of suing him for $127k as she can't hold an hor d'oeuvre comfortably at dinner parties anymore. Classy.

Given the kiddy's mum recently died
she's setting a fine maternal example. I've always said HR people are parasitic scum.

I doubt it
If it were then she'd surely be suing the kid's father instead. Eight year olds are responsible for jack shit.

"she said her life had been “very difficult” since the injury because of “how crowded it is in Manhattan”. “I was at a party recently, and it was difficult to hold my hors d’oeuvre plate,” she reportedly said."

I'm pretty sure that suing "him" means trying to get a settlement on the home insurance policy...

..and the result? :-)
Scrolling a wee bit down that page showed the result:
www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/oct/13/woman-nephew-broken-wrist-hug-lawsuit-no-damages
Bit of a ronseal URL.
However, the aunt's lawyer seems slimier than most:
........
“We do not take great pleasure in bringing a minor to court,” the aunt’s lawyer, William Beckert, said, according to the Daily News. “She is not here enjoying a moment of this.”
But the nephew, who was eight at the time of the hug, “should have known better”.
“We have rules for children,” the lawyer continued. “He was not careful. He was unsafe.”
........
Slime.

There's no need.
Everyone on teh Interwebz now knows her name and the city she lives in, which means
(a) she'll be being bombarded as we speak by threats of rape and death and worse and
(b) when most of the kind of people who do that move on to the next target, a tiny minority of obsessives won't, and the rest of her life will be ruined.
Which will be a bit of a shame.
