I like how he thinks that marrying someone from a nation that sparked two global wars,
drove millions into poverty and slaughtered them en masse, and still beats up on its minorities, makes him not a racist.
Now I 'm not holding an entire modern nation responsible for the sins of the past, nor of its own minority of troublemakers; I'm just suggesting that (a) if you're going to play to the media that you embrace another nation, it might be smart to pick one that at least doesn't have a stereotypical counter-productive history attached to it and (b) liking one other modern nation of equivalent economic status to your own does not excuse you from spreading offensive lies about others that aren't so well off.
