sounds almost impossible to police without the victim recording it on her phone
which makes the fact that this is included as a crime "take photographs without consent" difficult

taking photographs without consent
is a similarly tricky one to enforce...

No it isn't
If you are in a public place, you can have your picture taken. If you have your photo taken on private land but from a public place, there may be a question of reasonable expectation of privacy but that won't fly if you're (say) sunbathing in a garden visible from the street.

yeah context motherfucker...
I was specifically referring to the bit in the article where they talk about making it an offence... to take a picture of a woman with out consent if you are a guy...
I know it's always really enjoyable to point out the lack of privacy in a public place... it's a fun "i know shit fact" but this was referring specifically to a specific point in the article.

How is it a hate crime? Surely it's a compliment if anything.

I think it's regarded as unwanted sexual attention
like all those other offensive things that were just accepted in the 1970s e.g. Findus Crispy Pancakes and Instant Whip.

In 10 years, fucking everything will be either a hate crime, or an act of terrorism.

Most crimes are hate crimes of one sort or another
which makes hate crime legislation pointless. Motivation shouldn't affect sentencing.

So long as nobody is in anyway offended you may just get away with it.

This happens to me a few times on roads, then they drive past and realise i'm a guy.
Then they start shouting that i'm gay.

hatred is really the thing
that unites all humans... sure we might love people... but some people are lonely and unloved...everyone hates something or someone...
we should stop pretending that we are motivated by love, and embrace the fact that we are motivated by hatred...
perhaps then we could use our group hatred and turn it towards something deserving of hatred... but the idea of using love to get anywhere is retarded...
hatred is where it's at.

Good.
Ignoring the term 'hate crime' which is obviously a loaded term... this is really just an anti-harassment law... and good. I don't see why everyone has adopted American style politics on issues like this. Women want a recourse if they're harassed! OH NOES IT'S THE END OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION apparently.

Did you know
Did you know, right, you're not allowed to slap a bird on the arse anymore? Not even if she's bending over.
It's political correctness gone mad.

Isn't this policy at tad sexist?
Misogyny hate crime is classed under the new policy as “incidents against women that are motivated by an attitude of a man towards a woman, and includes behaviour targeted towards a woman by men simply because they are a woman”.

banning sexual advances of any sort
is a pretty effective method for population control. or should everyone do online dating now and countersign memos saying "it's ok to flirt with me". I remember when life was fun.
On a serious note I can understand that receipt of wolf whistling may be intimidating particularly at night on your own but so is "alright gorgeous" in that situation.
