After my brief trip down the rabbit hole into Pseudoscience Wonderland, I have the impression that the people involved fall broadly speaking into two categories. There are the harmless delusional cranks who just crave attention and the fraudsters who extract money from dimwitted investors.

This one seems a mix of both. The guy with the extraordinary hair is clearly a nut-job, but the organisation behind the device he is 'explaining' is distinctly 'shady'.

This is a normal post "I have an associate arts degree in mathematics" (around 0.30).
Those are for people in financial services, they're a world away from anything to do with hard science.
