This is a link post Silent Hills cancelled
P.T. Demo showed some good promise as well. Looks like internal issues most likely canned it.

This is a normal post I remember seeing that growing up in Scotland
Nobody was offended, and I got the impression that people were just happy to be remembered.

Konami are fucked. Anyone that doesn't know what I'm on about and is vaguely interested in videogames should google this, because it's a thing.

Basically, Hideo Kojima, bloke that makes Metal Gear Solid, has split from the company, this Silent Hills project is now cancelled, and Konami have pissed off a lot of fans for the handling of the whole thing.

This is a normal post feels like there's been a serious slump in Japanese game dev for a while now
Team Ico, Kojima, Namco all failing to hit the highs they used to.

Edit - Knomai suddenly trending on Twitter, they've delisted themselves from the Stock Exchange

This is a normal post From Software are doing pretty good
Bloodborne's met good reception all round, and they've been going since the 80s. They also have a few real gems in their back catalogue, not just Demon's/Dark Souls.

If Ground Zeroes is anything to go off, The Fountain Pen Phantom Pain will be a really good game, if a bit too gritty and serious compared to other MGS games. Its a shame about Silent Hills though, and to be fair Kojima has been saying he wanted out from MGS and Konami since Snake Eater.

Also, the giant that is Square-Enix is churning out plenty of acceptable games, and the odd really good one, quite consistently.

This is a normal post I was sure it was an intense marketing push
which would somehow reflect some deception in the game.
But now I am not so sure.
Exactly as they wish!

This is a normal post I heard a rumour about Kojima that piqued my interest...
Is there any truth to the assertion that the reason the plots of the MGS games are so impenetrable and - frankly - stupid is that Kojima was trying to get himself fired? Never before or since I played a couple of the sequels have I heard myself say "what the fuck was that supposed to be about?"

This is a normal post ^Like I said up there
It was quite well known that after MGS3 came out Kojima wanted to end the series there and then, but the clamor for a sequel and the money Konami offered him brought him back to tie the loose threads up in MGS4

This is a normal post Is 3 the one with the wet hen of a protagonist and the oil rig things?
That was some batshit mental stuff there, by which I mean incomprehensible dross.

This is a normal post Konami are fuxorred
Wouldn't be surprised to see them selling off their I.P.s to Sony and Kojima suddenly appearing with his own studio funded by Sony.
