I'm working my way through the second 'season'
And I have no idea where it's going.

I agree
Usually it's Mrs InTheJar who asks what's going on during films/tv shows/eastenders/teletubbies/the bedroom. But twin peaks beats the hell out of me!

I thought it went downhill after they revealed who killed Laura Palmer;
something I believe they had not originally planned to do (or at least not so early) which is possibly why the plot wears quite thin afterwards. It does pick up again towards the end of the second series, however.

Haven't seen the TV series since it was on
I have the boxset, but don't know if would live up to the memory
Rather watch Fire Walk With Me now, one of the scariest films ever made

Lynch's taste in interior decor runs to homemade artworks like "the bee board—real bees pinned to a board with names under them like Hugh, Bart, Sam, Mack and Jim," says Jennifer. "He gets them dead from a bug store."
Hmmm I wonder.

Really is great. Seems slow now, compared to modern tv, but just ace.

It veers from...
...unintentionally hilarious and dated, to properly scary and unsettling. Often in the span of a few seconds.
It's also veers from totally profound to utterly ridiculous in much the same manner.
Well worth a watch and persevering I'd say.
It also has one of the hottest female casts ever ensembled (with a few exceptions. Though a young Lara Flynn Boyle and Heather Graham more than make up for the uggers).

Only recently found out he did these:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=sr64M6OeE94 part 1 of 8 (helps if you are familiar with the Lynch/Frost sense of humour).
