This is a normal post Except the V10's...
...and V12's.

Never really understood the big kerfuffle over reducing the engine sizes. I'm more interested in the technical aspect and there's a lot more to be excited about with the new engines than simply slapping a few more cylinders and a few cc's extra on an old V config lump.

As for the sound, the turbos will sound great. Just look at the 80's cars on youtube.

This is a normal post Agreed.
80s engines, 1.5l turbo developing 700-1000+bhp = sexy + mental. A dynamite combo.

That kind of development can only (and no doubt did) benefit the engines of road cars too.

If the FIA ruled that 1 litre turbocharged engines were the new standard, they'd get 700bhp+ out of them pretty easily. Brilliant engineering.

This is a normal post To be fair though
These are only 'show models'. We'll see what the designers really have up their sleeves in Jerez on Tuesday.

This is a normal post Such is the pace of F1 development
that these cars will not have a final configuration until this time next year
