Taliban IED Factory Vaporized
IED factory gets basically the full force of God laid on it.
"We're over there because of oil!" No. But keep telling yourselves that.

i am not defending the practice of bombing kittens but you need to make the public aware of all the information
so they can make an informed choice to support or not support your choice of action, this at best is little worse than crude censorship and deems the public to be total idiots who dont care beyond tommorows pint and kebab
will some one think of the truth?

No, but harbouring and training an organisation that carries out attacks on the West,
murdering thousands of people could be construed as a good reason to be over there.

IED Factory?
I thought the whole point was that they were "improvised". Otherwise it's just a "bomb".

arent the "explosives" mostly gas canisters for cookers. basically calling them explosives makes me think of C4 and potassium nitrate or dynamite. gas canisters do explode, obviously, they are not as hi tech as the terminology implies is what im getting at.
( , Tue 22 Jan 2013, 22:09, Share, Reply)
Much of the explosive comes from the ordinance left lying around (mines, shells etc).

There's no conspiracy.
Some politicians wanted to be re-elected, some wanted oil, some wanted to show off their pricy military machine, etc.
The US also felt threatened and invaded Afghanistan because there was cause given, it was weak, and there was international approval.
Its basic realist politics. No morality.

the americanss started bombing, then the international community gave its approval.it was 12 years ago, so you memory can be forgiven for getting this important distinction wrong..

International approval was the wrong word
I meant something along the lines of 'international goodwill'.
In international politics, the US can't just do what it likes without considering the reaction from China and other States.
