Cool Summer Rain
I made this!
OK, so this is a tune I wrote and performed when I fell in love with someone I shouldn't have, then had to let her go.
I planned on hashing it out more, but the engineer working at the studio absconded to California with the masters. Dick.

I envy people that can write songs
Let alone sing and play instruments. Then again not sure how I could write an emotional song about getting sucked off around the bins at netto by 56 year old Greggs employee.

Nina yelping
I made this!
I haven't posted anything of b3ta's pet leopard for a while, mainly due to the fact most of what I have shot recently is Animal Planet's property as soon as I start filming it.
However, this file mysteriously didn't make it's way onto my colleague's CF memory card when I was copying the files over on my 1Dx's at the end of today..
Nothing much happens, just posted so you know she is growing into a lovely animal :)
It's HD, so expand that screen!

Snowies don't roar like other big cats
Darryl, one of the keepers who lives on site, says night time up there is quite mental at the moment, as the darkness is filled with the sound of yelps, growls, and guttural roars from the cats; I guess it's that time of the year..

Indeed
Where they've evolved as a species is at such high altitude I doubt there is enough surplus air to make the effort to roar worth it. They simply hiss or growl at one another when they are threatening, which also is a reflection of their highly secretive natures. The most famous account of some guy going off into the mountains trying to see one of them was an account entirely without him ever seeing one, and hence why the locals regarding them more as spirits for centuries than actual animals.

The news I watch doesn't mention it
nor do the newspapers I read, at least not so much that I have noticed. The Metro has stuff about it, but I can ignore it if I want. I work with Deaf people so it's unlikely to come up at work, although some have some hearing but it's not a big topic of conversation I find. Hardly any of my friends watch it.

Squarepusher Breezeblock Session
Hi Everyone!
I've been lurking for a while on links, when last week I saw a comment by skeletonator about a certain infamous squarepusher breezeblock session... (don't yet know how to reference a previous link!)
I thought to myself about time I stopped lurking, get myself a login, stood up and made a difference! Anyway, one of the best mixes of music ever recorded, only other peer at this level is perhaps Coldcut's 70 minutes of madness.
Craig Mclachlan mixed into thrash metal? Also some Tiffany and the theme song for the Cabbage Patch dolls. And some hardcore.
Also... Cats are cunts.

i like squarepusher
but he is more for a home environment mostly.....showing off with his guitar and stuff is all very well, but when you are gurning your back out at warehouse project and there are no holding patterns it turns into a chin stroking fest. great post though, click.

was a few years back when i saw squarepusher there, i was a mess, my eyes actually bled(another story) you got into a groove though and he started twiddling his bass showing off, and everyone looked like they were dancing with ipods on to different tunes. headfuck. he was amazing when he used to do the night and day cafe in manchester round about 96 though. this mix is class though.

I actually kind of went off squarepusher after 'Feed Me Weird Things'.
Ok, so that was his first album, but I liked it (especially track 2 - has a bass line seemingly completely independent from the rest of the song).
His new album is much better though.

Unicorndad Vrs Robodad
A couple of my friends made this video recently, they've been gigging their songs for the last coupla years and I fucking love what they do.
It's all fairly tongue in cheek, and their performances are so ramshackle that most of the audience are belly-laughing between songs, but the music actually get's me rocking nowadays, almost hypnotic.
They're not b3tans, but after seeing this video I think they should be, so I will pass on any criticism, or favour, to them directly... Enjoy.
Here's to hoping that Vimeo auto-embeds...

Good for them, not my cup of tea, but good for them.
However, what is the "vrs" in their title? Is this a quirky way of abbreviating "versus" - if so it should be either "vs." or "v."

As a member
Of FAT Diesel, a joke band two friends and I started 10 years ago and still piss about in having never intended for it to go anywhere or ever take itself seriously (which it hasn't). I highly highly approve of this. This has much more musical ability involved than anything we have ever done though :D.
*EDIT Having re read this, it's not meant to be a criticism which it kinda reads like. It's meant to be a message of support as I think this is ace.

Also, no I am not a student of Bristol, but in my experience it has the poshest student body in the UK.
