Guy records himself sleep talking. Pute nonsense gold! Sleep tight :)
My gf forwarded me this. A guy she used to work with recorded himself sleep talking and decided to upload the results online...A man's brain without conscious control.

I used to share a house with quite an attractive girl.
One Saturday afternoon I went to my room and as I passed her door, which was slightly ajar, she said something. So I stuck my head round the door to see what she wanted only to be greeted by her sleep talking with one of her boobs hanging out... I saw the nipple and everything!

The only point which matters is whether you like it or not and most things will divide into a straightforward yes/no.

Mathcore?
No.
It's some pro-tooled dubstep nonsense, nothing more. I know I'm going to the brass ring straight away, but I'm going to invoke the Dillinger Escape Plan here. Like them or not (I don't particularly, as it happens) but at least I know that was four or five guys in a room learning and putting human effort into what they were doing, live, with human players. Cutting stuff up in pro-tools and calling it 'math' is like calling a mixtape 'your album'.

On the back of reading Simon Reynolds' book 'Rip it up and Start Again'
NSFW
which I wholeheartedly recommend for anyone interested in post-punk (second only to Azzerad's 'This Band could be your Life'), I've delved into a bit of Throbbing Gristle (answers on a postcard).
It's a quite interesting interview which explains their ethos of depersonalised yet sensationalist music, and other such ideals. I think that's great! Whether or not you like TG (and I'm not sure if I'm a total convert to be fair) no band nowadays have 'ideals' as such, do they? No great statements, no artistic 'shake-up' mentality, nothing much to say at all really.
Fun fact: Cosey Fanni Tutti, I'm guessing, is a corruption of the Italian 'cosi fanno tutti' which means 'they all do it (like that)'. Make of that what you will.
NSFW due to various fruity stills popping up here and there.

Perhaps, but any London-area accent is particularly annoying to Northern ears
We can tell that some are stronger than others, but anywhere 'dahn sarf' has the same 'Laahndaahn' twang, to us. Whereas West-Country accents sound just fine, and surprisingly similar to a Yorkshire accent.
I'm sure the same happens to you guys — I wouldn't expect anyone south of Birmingham to be able to tell a Lancashire accent from a Yorkshire accent.

almost no-one in London sounds like a cockney, not that anyone north of Watford believes it.
I stayed with some friends in Macclesfield a few years back, and their next-door neighbour came round. He had to go and do a job in Milton Keynes the next day and was saying how he didn't want to go because he "can't stand cockneys".
I pointed out that he was unlikely to meet any in Milton Keynes. He said "Oh sorry mate, I didn't mean you, you're alright."
"No, I'm not offended. I'm not a cockney. But Milton Keynes is about 50 miles north of London."
"Yeah, but you know what they're like. It's all apples & pears, Torville & Dean."
"They're from fucking Nottingham!"
"Yeah, but you know what I mean."

"from Roman times" apparently
The Watford Gap is located at a minor gap between two slight hills in the county of Northamptonshire, England. Engineers from Roman times onwards have found it to be an appropriate route connecting the Midlands with the South East.
In a width of 400 metres (1,300 ft) the A5 road, the West Coast Main Line railway, the M1 motorway and a branch of the Grand Union Canal all traverse the gap in parallel.

I like that his mate just fucks off
and doesn't show any concern at all for his coworker who's just fallen down some steps.
Also, the question with these things is always: why were they being filmed?

I wish this game would update with new content or something already.
Even though it's 'randomly generated', it gets rather predictable.

This is an old article, but Damien Hirst drew my girlfriend the exact same sketch with her name on it.
And I told her it probably wasn't worth much...

I think it's good thing to do
At least some of us plebs can get some work from famous artists. Not that I like Hirst at all, but hey, others would love that.
My brother for one. He loves sharks.

Yes. That's what made me look for the story.
My girlfriend has the same drawing on a piece of scrap paper in her bedside table that Damien Hirst drew for her when he exhibited in an art gallery she worked at in Naples.

Now I'm wondering whether she'd get less money for it because it's less unique and it's my fault.

What annoyed me most about the whole thing
was that, while the story blatantly concerns a turboprop aircraft (likely a Dash 8), the BBC used a picture of a Boeing 737 to illustrate the story!

I think most of the dinosaur stuff got displaced by Pokemon, so planes are all I've got.

Don't know what the terminal velocity of a scrub python is, but I feel that science should investigate.
That's all assuming that it hadn't been mangled by the flaps retracting after takeoff of course.
