It is a yiddish term. My buddy's dad used it all the time.

I imagine the making of this video going in the following way:
Guy: I have a great idea for an interview. I'll pretend to be sexist by saying that you can't hurt me because you're a woman, and then people will think it's hilarious when you own me and they'll share it on facebook.
Girl: Okay, I throw people on the ground all the time, so sure.
Guy (to himself): And since she's a woman, it's totally safe and I won't get hurt even though I don't know what I'm doing.
And then his ribs get broken.

Under US law, the redhead could claim to be "African American" for educational, educational and government program privileges.
But, I'm sure that would drive many people crazy.
As an aside, a popular US senator, Elizabeth Warren, claimed native American heritage, that helped her get entry to law school and a Harvard teaching position. When challenged, she said that her grandmother's stories made her feel native or something and the press has largely left that alone, even seeing her as a viable candidate for US president some day.

No, because words have been hijacked for political purposes. For example, a man from Libya cannot claim to be African American.
But, many entities accept "self proof" for special opportunities, such as university acceptance and tenure. The initial intent for helping economically deprived individuals has long been frustrated.

I stand corrected on the university bases for hire.
However, she She recently claimed it in her book that she was native, submitted recipes to a only-native cookbook and her native "heritage" was used as evidence by Harvard that their faculty was diverse. I would suggest that both saying it and allowing others to claim it without correction is less than honest.
And you are absolutely correct about republicans. They have proven time and time again that they are untrustworthy, most notably what they said they would do following the most recent election.
I may not be right, but I view republicans as self policing more than democrats when someone does wrong. Look how dems handle criticism of O or Clinton - it is destroy the accuser as M. O.

I've seen a lot of news stories about kids living with parents that use and sell drugs and keep illegal firearms (or as the dems call it "soon to be legal firearms") and because they're also having babies, it puts them in close quarters
Also, because people who buy weapons to protect their illicit trade rarely get them through legal means, they are less likely to learn or teach gun safety.

All of whose parents? The kids in the story or those in my account?
If the latter, they were either dealers or living with someone who dealt. The guns were for protection against police or those interested in robbing the drugs and cash.

You've stated that if these guns were held legally this may not have happened.
It only takes one careless moment, a lapse of judgement on a persons behalf and a kid could get hold of a gun and shoot themselves, a parent or a friend, whether the gun is legally held or not.
You're now going on about kids who live with parents who deal drugs, there's no mention of that in this story so i don't know why you're talking about drugs and dealers like that's to blame, you're talking hypothetically....yet again, as you always do in threads relating to guns.
If you mention immigrants, drugs, dealers, the gays (add what you choose) in every thread about guns it isn't justification for something like this by association.
You read The Gateway Pundit and often post links here to justify your paranoid, twisted reasoning, you refer to the news source Happy Toast has posted as a "news" site, therefore seemingly questioning how reputable it is.
Enjoy your gun-fun.

Certainly accidents happen, but firearm deaths are not even close to the leading cause of death for children.
And yes, people who don't anticipate using the firearm in a criminal manner tend to treat the weapons with much more respect. Are there exceptions? Of course.
And you're right, there was not mention in the story, which begged the question. I think this doubly so when the website had a pictograph at the bottom that stated, "Which politicians want guns in schools". That was an attempt to imply how horrible such politicians are (BTW the school Obama's children attend has armed guards).
And I don't view drug dealers in the same light as gays or immigrants - that's your personal hang up.

"And you're right, there was not mention in the story, which begged the question."
I read this story and didn't think "There was no mention that the parents were drug dealers, i wonder if they were?", that's very twisted and gives an insight in how your mind instantly looks for something to blame this on so you can justify it happening to someone who isn't a well liked member of society.
The website implied certain politicians were horrible? You implied the parents were probably drug dealers.
"And I don't view drug dealers in the same light as gays or immigrants - that's your personal hang up." = I know you are, you said you are, but what am i? Which is your usual tact. In that case i'm going to play you at your own tedious game and suggest YOU view gays and immigrants as being worse than drug dealers.
( , Wed 4 Mar 2015, 17:13, Share, Reply)
But why mention gays or immigrants at all when I didn't mention it, unless "that's very twisted and gives an insight in how your mind instantly looks for something to blame this on ..."
The article seemed more of an abstract than an article, so those questions came up. I did wonder, were the children not trained? were the firearms easily accessible? With those questions, my brain hearkened back to previous news reports of instances in which children were shot. I then gave some "surmises".
Sometimes one has to get beyond the political slant of "news" and look at the facts. Where there are no facts, one naturally questions.

Much bad law has been created in illogical, feel-good "If we can only save one child" terms
The firearm is highly regulated. Regulations don't stop misuse or accidents with firearms any more than they do with cars or food. For a constitutionally protected right, on equal par with free speech, religion and voting, it is hyper regulated.
Look at the bad effect alcohol has on society: there are rules and regulations attempting to control its manufacture, sale and distribution, but few speak anymore of an outright ban.

lefties love muzzies because they tend not to be white and the worst thing that can happen to a lefty is to be accused of being racist. Lefties love a big diversity of ethnicities because that is their dream of a 'vibrant' (whatever the fuck that means) multicultural society. But lefties do not like diversity of opinion because the Left is always right and the Right is always left behind with their backward views. Right? I hope this helps.

But surely that simply highlights their own insecurity about ethnicity in themselves
given they can't make the difference between a religion and someone's skin colour? I don't really care if someone is white anglo saxon or brown asian, if they are coming out with intolerant, fascist bullshit, I will pull them up for being a cunt, not defend them just because they are non-white. If there was no suggestion Ferrari has been beating his wife
why didn't Ferrari just say "I don't beat my wife" then the union guy would've had to answer his question trapped by his own bizarre logic

I think saying he doesn't have a wife pretty much did that.

The Union bloke is making a point
about unfair questions.
The "When did you stop beating your wife?" question is an example used to teach lawyers, etc., about what counts as an unfair question. The imputation is clearly that you used to beat your wife at some point. The fairer question would be "Did you ever beat your wife?".
Unfortunately, he comes across as a bit of a nutter because a) not everyone gets the reference, and b) well... he just comes across as a bit of a nutter.

I get the point
"Did he, as is reported, fail the breath test?" is not a loaded question, it's pretty straight forward

We don't know if that was the qestion, though.
The report is edited so that, at best, there is no context to the question 'Have you stopped beating your wife?', or, a worse scenario, edited to appear it was in response to the question 'Did he, as is reported, fail the breath test?' which is a question we know was asked, but whether or not it prompted the tirade is unclear.

Is this what ITV News is like?
"Shock rant"
"Bizarre turn"
I should decide for myself whether this was a shock rant or bizarre turn after being given all the facts, not just told what to think. I don't know if it was either of these things because this is the only report on the matter I have seen and it didn't give me all the facts.
"...claims it is a well known phrase" - do some research, it is a well known phrase.
