I'm a big fat skinter and my shitty car is dying on me. The MOT is due at the end of June and it's NOT going to pass. Oh no.
So I've come up with this wishful thinking idea and we'll see what happens.
Probably nothing and I'll be cycling to work from the end of june. :(
:::EDIT::: now reduced the starting price to one penny!

ask the ginger fuhrer to newsletter it and you may get a flurry of bids around friday afternoon. You'll likely get diddly if the only people that see it are this board and ebayers.

I'd cheerfully fork out a grand to have a nice big "REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER INSIDE" logo on your car.

I'd be obliged to buy a car myself to place the ad on, totally defeating the whole point of the exercise.
Please newsletter it anyway! pretty please?

I'll do it!
You know what you're talking about and I trust you!
I'll change it just as soon as I get home from work, eBay is blocked. :(

I think I should have done that, as I'm now in danger of not even covering the fees on my car (see above).
Nice idea by the way, good luck with it.

They're like a starting price but hidden and I think people give up if they come up againt a reserve that's higher that their first bid.

I used to work in a building where lots of small businesses had rented offices.
In the kitchen one day I met a chap who told me with pride that he sold wrap-around electronic signs for cars.
He told me how he could get around the ban on advertising junk food near schools by paying single mums to show burger adverts on their cars.

There's certainly nothing new about advertising on cars.
It's the selling the advertising space in order to raise the money to buy the car that's the point of the exercise.
