3D scanning is ace.
Down the page a bit, the brazilian lass below your last post has a leg that appears to terminate in a foot shape which then has a shoe put on.
Why isn't that what your new leg will do? Or will you graduate to that sort of design later, when you've had more practice? I imagine it's a little less solid for walking on, with extra articulation as the shoe moves a bit on the foot.
Or is it simply a 'what the NHS will provide" thing?

the leg i will get will have a plastic socket at teh top
to take stumpy once he is dressed in his new terry towel sock and settled inhis own personal basement , there will be a silicon tube that will the socket and upto the knee and then finish around the middle of the thigh.
The ankle on this one will be semi flexible and will have only a small amount of flex in the ankle possibly 2 degrees of movement, after that there are all sorts of things you can have legs for depending on what sport or activity you want to do .
