  issue to them.

Make a cup of tea and get clicking.

: WHAT B3TA PEOPLE HAVE BEEN MAKING THIS WEEK #1
Lemmings Game, Badger Game, Punk Kittens

  >> Lemmings Game <<
DogEgg is a B3ta boarder contracted by
the BBC to make web games. He says, "We just
finished off this flash game. It's a distant
relative of Lemmings." It's both polished
  and engrossing fun.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/choice/games/roadies/

  >> Badger Racing Game <<
You know those games at the fair where you
have to bet 10p on which mechanical motorbike
wins a race? B3ta boarder Weebl has made a
version with rocket badgers. It's the tune
  that makes it.
http://www.weebl.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/badger.html

  >> Punk Kittens <<
Weebl has been busy. He's made this tiny but
lovely animation of 3 kittens dancing to a punk
  record. It's a vibe thing.

: COME TO OUR FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY
Jelly, ice cream, cakes and penguins.

Keep the evening free on Friday 5th of July.

We'll be having a party in London, UK. More
details will be given closer to the date.

-------------------------------------------------

: WHAT B3TA PEOPLE HAVE BEEN MAKING THIS WEEK #2
Queen Mum, School Kid Photo and Booze Campaign

And there's more. So much more.

  >> Fly the Queen Mum to Heaven <<
In a submission too late to be topical, b3ta
boarder Crazy Mum gives you a nice little game
where you have to dodge airplanes and collect
  gin. Nicely done.

  >> B3ta School Kids Photo <<
This will only be amusing if you've met any of
the people who contribute to B3ta. Thanks to
Mr & Mrs Pickled Pizza we've got new wallpaper.

  >> Campaign to drink later <<
B3ta reader GI Joe has started a campaign to
extend the UK licensing hours. He's seeking
to build a petition of 250,000. Show your
support by leaving your name at his site.

: THE RATHERGOOD CORNER
  Jazz Kitten on TV.

Joel Veitch runs a site called Rathergood.
He's our mate and we love his deranged work.

  Joel writes -

"What a fantastic week. A few weeks ago I
made an animation featuring kittens playing
Jazz. I launched it using the b3ta newsletter.

"And now? It's been on TV! The production
company who make the C4 breakfast show RI:SE
got in touch and asked to use it as an
interstitial - the bit before an ad break.

"Anyway - if you missed it, here it is again."

: WHAT B3TA PEOPLE HAVE BEEN MAKING THIS WEEK #3
Weather Maps, Penguins & Dave Lee Travis

Our brains hurt. There's too much stuff.

  >> Make Your Own Weather Maps <<
B3ta boarder Tomsk says "I made this thing for
fun. It's not funny or anything, it's just a
toy. Read the instructions, click stuff, drag
  stuff, make nice weather... "
http://makeashorterlink.com/

  >> Whack Penguins Game <<
Another week, and another variation on the mole
  whacking genre. Thanks Vbloke.
http://www.vbloke.com/whack.html

  >> Which animal is that? <<
  Long-time B3ta boarder Monkeon has made a
game to test your animal identification
skills. It also features the much loathed
  DJ, Dave Lee Travis.

: ANNOUCEMENT: T-SHIRTS

Fatlobster have been making B3ta T-Shirts,
  they write -

"T-shirts have arrived and will be despatched
Friday/Sat/Mon. Not a single cheque has been
cashed and will not be until t-shirts are
  despatched. Apologies for the delay."

-------------------------------------------------

: LISTEN AND WATCH SWEARING POLITICIANS
Osymyso & Cartel do it again

Each week we talk to th_dr at Boom Selection
to ask him about his favourite bootleg music
  that he's heard this week.

  th_dr writes -

"With the return of Stephen Byers to our TV
screens, I'm loving this delightful clip of
various politicians cutup to sound like they're
swearing, all to the soundtrack of Rocky and
  Chas n Dave. Class.
http://makeashorterlink.com/

"BTW: Osymyso and Cartel have got into trouble.
Read this newspaper article about them."

-------------------------------------------------

: HOW TO SPEND YOUR MONEY
  Buy a remote control vibrator.

We asked adult e-commerce site Fanny Batter
what was the geekiest item in their catalogue.

  Andrew writes -

"The Oyster is pretty geeky. It's a remote
control vibrator with a key ring controller,
and offers daring fun at dinner parties.

"With the receiving vibrating silent stimulator
hidden inside the wearer's panties, shuddering
vibes can be detonated from up to 50ft away."

  Sounds like a buzz.

-------------------------------------------------

: SITES IN BRIEF
Stuff we like that wasn't made by our mates.

  >> Make weird animals pics <<
At the Switcheroo Zoo you can combine pictures
of animals to make a zebra with an elephants
trunk, or a dog with a rhino horn. Cool.
http://www.switcheroozoo.com/zoo.htm

  >> A Periodic Table Table <<
Theo Gray has made a real wooden table out of
the periodic table. Never has chemistry looked
  so good. We want one.
http://208.55.251.3/Periodic.htm

  >> Hidden images in music <<
Fascinating story about how musician Aphex Twin
hid a picture of his own face within his Window
Licker track. Can only be seen with spectrograph
software - these are the backward messages of
  the future.
http://www.wired.com/news/culture/0,1284,52426,00....

  >> Trippy Animated Story <<
This strange and imaginative animation features
a fly, regression therapy and magic mushrooms.
It will make you go, "uh, that's odd."
