Duran Duran, Kentish Town Forum, 2003Duran Duran have provided the soundtrack to my life since 1981. Can't think of any other band I have love since I was 9 that I still love. So when the original 5 reformed and announced a one-off gig in Kentish Town Forum I was on the internet buying tickets the moment they were announced. They sold out in 7 minutes, so I was lucky to get 4. Even luckier to sell one for over £200 on Ebay ;-) Lots of famous people were there too.
For those that haven't been the Forum is a tiny tiny venue. Imagine 2000 basically obsessed fans crammed into the place, all going absolutely apeshit crazy, like a mass karaoke session with Duran Duran as the backing band, and the ceiling explodes with silver glitter during "Girls on Film" at the end.
It's the best gig I've ever been to, the best night of my life, and I met some lovely new friends too.
