This is a question Bizarre leaps of logic

Amorous Badger says: "I once humorously suggested that someone had been internet-stalking a Big Brother contestant. They concluded that I was threatening them. What's the oddest misunderstanding you've been involved in?"

Must be something about Nottingham
We had a uni assignment to find some structures, take photos of them and write about them.
One group were threatened with being arrested for taking a photo of the (then new) HMRC offices.

I found a nice little bridge over a river so went and had a closer look and took some photos of it. When I got back up the bank onto the road, I was confronted by a screaming woman who had come from a school further down the road accusing me of taking photos of the children.
I gave her my camera and asked her to check the photos and she felt a bit silly.

You were lucky she didn't make off with it.

Happens in Somerset too.
Doing my geography A-Level project involved taking photos of local areas to illustrate the ... CBD or whatever.

One guy chased me off, screaming "Bloody estate agents!"
