This is a question This book changed my life

The Goat writes, "Some books have made a huge impact on my life." It's true. It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

What books have changed the way you think, the way you live, or just gave you a rollicking good time?

Friendly hint: A bit of background rather than just a bunch of book titles would make your stories more readable

Not just one, a series
Specifically, the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (may he rest in peace). Reading this series inspired me to write, starting with fan fiction on a board 4 years ago, called Brokenworld for any that may know it. It was there that I met the love of my life, the most beautiful, wonderful, caring, sweet, funny, silly etc woman I could ever have hoped to know. So thank you very much Mr Jordan.

sweet jesus
but after about book 5 I was suicidal, A bigger load of old twaddle I have yet to read (because I also stopped reading Harry Potter when I found myself shouting at a book . . .ahem)

YEs
It did get tedious after a while...but I wanted to know how it ends. AS for the fan fic stuff...I considered it practice. ANd it can't be all bad if it landed me a honey :D

bastard died before he finished it
I always knew he would. He seems unable to kill off a character without resurrecting them, giving them 4 new friends then splitting all 5 into new plot-threads.

ITs ironic
that he did this and "god" deigned not to resurrect him with four friends, three new enemies, two super powers and a donkey in gimp suit.

but with all this
I still love the books, I'm actually re-reading them (for about the 15th time) at the moment.

And I hooked myself up a better half through these books aswell.
