Is there anyway to reduce the ways in which people can operate sock puppet accounts?
I know people can use more than one browser at the same time, or keep logging in and out of different accounts, but is there someway? iP address? Cookies? I don't know, I am not technical and I know it will never be possible to eradicate sock puppets completely, but can we at least attempt to?

Also locking people in to one username and not letting them change it may help?

have you tried drawing a picture to help deal with your anger?

Ah, a sockpuppet detective!
Why is this an issue? I have never been remotely aware of this being a problem. Have to assume someones being mean to you on OT.

Although having said that, I have 2 accounts. One for posting pics, and one for other crap.

Call a Whambulane
Who gives a fuck if people want more than one account?

Take a breath, and go for a walk outside.

Technically not feasible. Most people have dynamic IP these days (they change every week/month/when you reset your router). Though a username can be tied to an email, its childs play to setup multiple emails, and most people have more than one address anyway.

You could limit the number of connections to the site with a single IP in a certain time period, but anyone who is a dedicated troll will no doubt be well versed in proxies and spoofing.

My advice is to put those people on ignore and just move on.
