My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

What'sworse, is a half arsed effort - smartish shirt and clean jeans with dirty trainers or running shoes.
But there's no excuse for a footy/rugby top when you're eating out.
