This is a question Conned

swiftyisNOTevil writes, "I have recently become obsessed with the BBC Three show 'The Real Hustle' - personally, I think of it as a 'How To' show for aspiring con artists."

Have you carried out a successful con? Perhaps you hustled a few quid off a stranger, or defrauded a multi-national company. Or have you been taken for the wide-eyed, naive rube that you are?

Women
When I was at school, I considered myself a canny lad and decided that the best way to get into girls' pants was to know my enemy and discover how they worked. I talked to them about their problems, I read Jackie and Just 17 etc. to discover how they thought and what they looked for in a man. I learned that 'a sense of humour is more important than good looks', or a that giant schlong was no substitute for a ready smile and a warm hug.

And do you know, I was a virgin until I was 21.

Turned out women are total liars about what they want.

Women
A woman I'm currently seeing tried to convince me when we started seeing each other that she was a bit of an ice queen; cool, calm and collected emotions.

Turns out under pressure she is a simpering emotive mass of fluffy terms of endearment and extreme soppiness, especially after filth. What's worse is that she's corrupted me into this quagmire of slushiness, reducing me to sending texts dripping in 'honey', 'baby' and 'sweet dreams'.

My God she's hot though.

what we want
is a sense of humour AND for you to be hot. I mean, jeez, how hard can it be?

Reading Jackie, asking about their problems ... ?
I tried something similar. The reason, I discovered, for remaining a virgin for so long was when I just gave up asked a girl out for a 'proper' date.

The response: "But you're my best mate, and besides ... you're gay!"

Apparently you aren't *supposed* to know thine enemy too well ...
