This is a question Creepy!

Smash Monkey asks: "what's the creepiest thing you've seen, heard or felt? What has sent shivers running up your spine and skidmarks running up your undercrackers? Tell us, we'll make it all better"

When I was 8
I watched this, and I - as many people across the country - believed it was real.

Ive since seen videos of it, and it still is very convincing. Imagine Most Haunted, but believable, and eventful.

Anyone remember it?

There was on my telly
where a crow misaligned the aerial on the roof.

Spooky as fook
I remember watching it as a kid. Didn't they have to stop it half way through to tell everyone it wasn't actually real?

This proper shit me up.
That is all.

Seems as though
I am the only person who watched this and saw it for what it was, a hokey pile of shit. If you were under 10 or over 70 and fell for it, fair enough. The rest of you should be ashamed of yourselfs.

I wasn't impressed either
but then again I was a real grown-up adult at the time.

Charlie Brooker was ranting about it a few weeks back
Up until then I'd forgotten about it.

I do remember the fuss: however I'd watched it from the start and it was clearly a drama pretending to be a live show and therefore not a reason to freak out, so I didn't see the need for the hysteria that followed.

Clever idea & well put together as I remember. Mr Brooker took it to bits though.

Latecomer
I never saw this until a few years ago and thought it had a moderate amount of scariness.
But what WAS scary was a vid on Youtube showing all the sightings of Mr Pipes. I missed a fair few and seeing them 'subliminally' in the programme was pretty unnerving.

yep, I was 15, and shat my load
watched it with the parents, I think they were following it right up to the end. I remember when it finished we were all 'wtf' for ages.
If it had been done post-bigbrother/other reality show maybe we wouldn't have been sucked in so effectively?
