This is a question Have you ever seen a dead body?

How did you feel?
Upset? Traumatised? Relieved? Like poking it with a stick?

Several years ago
My gran died when I was seven so we flew to Ireland for her funeral.
Her body was lying in the house so family and friends could say a final goodbye.
Lot's of candles round the place and it didn't really bother me as I didn't know her and she just looked asleep.

Apparantly my little cousin, after seeing all the candles burst in to a loud and enthusiastic rendition of "Happy Birthday."

Nobody had the heart to tell her to stop.

Fabulous...
Kids have a wonderful way of lightening the mood. Not that a real Irish wake needs much more lightening, mind you. My friend lived in Donegal for a while, and both the wakes he went to featured the recently departed in an open casket. They'd be posed with some or all of the following:
--sunglasses
--shots of whisky
--pints
--cigarettes
--the occasional joint
Slainte, indeed.

That's
Fantastic,
I think if it was my funeral I'd like something like that to happen...

Wonder if it would make the cut for you've been framed
