This is a QotW answer Mine's gotta be when I was 5
We travelled for numerous hours to get to Pleasure Island (the theme park not some sex shop) in Cleethorpes only to find it was shut.

Bastards.

Shouldn't have bothered, went a week later - was shit

was usually all closed when I went there for my summer holidays umpteen years running as a child, and I never did get to go in Pleasure Island
