A few weeks back, I went with a few mates to see "Eastern Promise" at the local cinema (that film with Viggo Mortensen as a russian gangster..you know the one..) Anyway, there's a scene in it where one of the guys is talking about someone having AIDS or something, and refers to it as "the gay disease"..
So we're sitting in the cinema and it's deadly quiet...
FILM: * "Perhaps he will die from the gay disease.."
My Mate: "HAHAHAHAHAAAAAH!! (a real hearty and appreciative laugh like as if someone had just cracked an excellent joke).
You had to be there, but it was literally the funniest thing I have ever witnessed.
*can't remember the exact dialogue but it's something like that.

Reminds me of something i did in hte cinema once. Shortly after the scandall with the Who Wants to be a millionaire winner.
During an eary silence between the adverts and the film starting. people think its funny to cough and stuff and generally make themselves known to the rest of audience. So i decided to cough and then mutter "no!" under my breath. Which had this woman near me was in tears with laughter, which made other people laugh too.
Go me, go me!! :)

A couple of times, I've diverted the audiences attention from the feature presentation in the cinema.
Near the end of 'The Fast and the Furious' when the climatic drag race begins and Vin Diesel wheelies the muscle car, I kind of spoiled the moment with a hearty bout of laughter ending in a (little too loud) "Fuck Off!!"
The missus and I also laughed heartily at the most shocking scenes in 'The Exorcist' one halloween, to the displeasure of an unusually serious audince.
