Have you ever started a fire?I went to sleep with candles burning - woke up to a circle of flame on the rug. Thought, "Tits. Better put the rug in the bath and turn the taps on." TIP: Don't put a burning rug into a fibre glass bath. I caused about £5000 of damage to the house and was coughing up smoky black phlegm for a few weeks. Can you beat that?

I started a fireat Reading. Since it was going a bit slow i got out a whole double sheet of newspaper and put it on..neglecting to wrap it up or anything in my haste. Luckily, there was a stick in the middle which we had shoved into the cow pat being used as the base and it wrapped around this. A video of said incident can be found at this link Link! It's 6.8MB though. Things could have ended up a lot worse as we were surrouded by fast burning tents.
