I defaced several hymnbooks
by adding 'le' to all instances of the word 'womb'.

"...offspring of the virgin's womble" etc.

Oh how the congregation laughed.*

* actually, oh how they glared at the little twat at the back trying not to giggle

I always used to giggle
when we had to sing 'all things bright and beautiful', mainly because there is a verse that starts with the words 'the purple headed mountain'.

When you are 13 this is quite possibly the funniest thing ever.

I've just got engaged
Wedding's likely to be next summer. As a professional musician (singer) who does most of my gigs in churches, I'm deciding on the hymns/anthems myself. My favorite has to be the one with the refrain "All Through the Night".

However, my second favorite is "Behold the Bridegroom Cometh": first two lines are:
Behold the Bridegroom cometh in the middle of the night,
and blest is he whose loins are girt, whose lamp is burning bright

EDIT: it nearly fits to tune of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic". Apart from the last line. That would be genius. /music geek.
