It's been a while since we last asked this question and CaptainFellatioNelson's confession that he likes "to fart under the duvet, creep in and see how long I can last only on the fart air contained within" reminded us just how good it was last time.

But I do feel a bit guilty about the fact that I am counting the minutes until I can hand in my notice and have largely given up trying to find any work in the meantime. Can't see why there should be any now when there hasn't been for the last four feckin' years. I am *so* bored....
The pleasure comes mostly from the fact that the number of minutes decreases much more satisfactorily than the number of hours...

I've got approx 108,000 minutes left :-(
I gave up trying to be interested about 6 months ago...
EDIT:I'm on a two year contract so I can decide not to take the offer of a permanent position so no notice period...
I'll have probably killed myself by then anyway.

I intend, rather, to buy myself cigarettes, open a bottle of something fab, and be thankful that I have finished writing the application for funding my foray into pants what I hope will be my salvation. Tomorrow I shall post it and start trying to bribe the varying deities that I don't believe in to let me get the dosh...

til I left my last place of work.
I downloaded a program that overlays a countdown clock on your desktop, and set it to finish when I was going to be walking out of the door for the last time.
Look, here I am, looking very happy about it:

I'm 3 days, 2 hours, 58 minutes and 39 seconds from freedom!

Now THAT looks like a brilliant thing to occupy at least some of my time... :)
