knew it was overwith first serious girlfriend when, riding bus home, a mate mentioned to me "i was talking to vicki earlier; she was asking some really weird questions." on further probing, he disclosed that the first of these was "how did he think she should break up with a guy she wanted to leave because she had a new boyfriend already?"
